We are FandFO.com (Friends and Family Only), known as FandFO. Located at https://FandFO.com. Governed by the laws of the state of Ohio, in the United States of America.

What we promise to you

FandFO.com promises to:

• Provide an ad-free experience. With so much of the internet smothered in obtrusive advertising, FandFO is an oasis of ad-free space. That way you can focus on what matters to you and use a social network that’s actually social.
• No AI or algorithms. We feel that AI shouldn’t be building profiles of you and your behaviors, likes and dislikes. Nor will we ever use algorithms to try to keep you “hooked” on the site by filling your news feed with creepy things that you’re not really interested in.
• We respect you. It’s about time that you’re treated like a person, not a product.
• Maintain a 99.9% uptime. So we’re always available so you can share with your friends and family.

What we expect from you

When you become a member of FandFO, we have certain expectations. If you can not meet them, please do not join our membership. Be becoming a member you agree to:

• Be respectful of others. There’s enough hate in the world. Go elsewhere if you’re just looking to troll people. This site is for you to communicate with your friends and family – ONLY! If you don’t know that person IRL (In Real Life), don’t request to become friends with them, and vice versa, don’t accept friend requests from those you don’t know IRL. Sometimes, even if you know them IRL, don’t feel at all pressured to become friends with them here.
• Help keep the site safe for all. FandFO.com is self-moderated. Just like IRL, if you see something that’s threatening, violent, or outright illegal, please report the post or comment to be moderated.
• Make or join groups of your various friends and family. To make the best of your membership and this site, set up and join the groups that interest you. Make a “Smith Family Cousins” group, make a “My Smith Family” group, etc.
• Do not share your login. You pay for your membership. Sharing logins or accounts with others is against our Terms and may result in your membership being suspended or ended.

Focus on your Friends and Family

We’re trying to make this a safe place to share with those that care. You’re welcome to rant and rave if you so see fit, but there are boundaries. We will not allow this platform to be a safe haven for hate speech, abuse, nor to spread lies. Opinions are welcome, but you are responsible for providing facts to back up your post(s) if others mark them as offensive/abusive or factually incorrect. We at FandFO are the ultimate judge of poor/abusive behavior on this platform. You will be warned. If you continue to post material that doesn’t meet our communities guidelines, your account may be terminated at our discretion, without refund. Your subscription will not be renewed.

Pricing, payments, and refunds

FandFO.com membership pricing and plans are subject to change at any time, without notice. If you’re currently subscribed to a plan, you will be notified of any changes to that plan beforehand.

All payments are made through a third party, we never have access to your billing method. Please see the privacy/terms of the payment processor for more details. We do not accept checks.

At FandFO.com, we do things a little differently. We feel like only way that we can keep our site up, secure and provide this service to you, since we don’t have advertising nor sell our users’ data, is to charge for access. We offer a wide selection of membership options to fit all members.

WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS.

If you’re not sure that this membership is right for you, then try the lowest priced membership option first and then you can see if we’re a good fit for you. If it’s not what you’re looking for, you’re not out a lot of money, no big deal. We hope that you’ll see the value in the membership and decide to stick around and upgrade to a longer term membership, but understand that this approach isn’t right for everyone. We offer no trial memberships. In order to maintain the integrity of the membership, it only works if everyone is a paying member. Another reason that we don’t offer refunds is that since you’re a long term member who has paid to become a member, it’s an incentive to not behave offensively to the point where your membership gets suspended or removed without refund.

Hold harmless

By using FandFO, you agree that you will hold FandFO, it’s owners and related entities, harmless from any and all claims, lawsuits, demands, causes of action, liability, loss, damage and/or injury, of any kind whatsoever (including without limitation all claims for monetary loss, property damage, equitable relief, personal injury and/or wrongful death), whether brought by an individual or other entity. This indemnification applies to and includes, without limitation, the payment of all penalties, fines, judgements, awards, decrees, attorneys’ fees, and related costs or expenses.

Who we are

What privacy means to us

FandFO.com is focused on providing a safe, friendly place to share with your family & friends. Non-members are not allowed to view your posts or profile details. There are no AI (artificial intelligence) bot scan your every post or like. There’s no algorithm’s that decide what you see. We don’t built advertising profiles of our members. When we say it’s a safe, friendly place, that means that we respect your right to privacy and will never sell your information.

Comments

When members leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

FandFo, LLC has no control over 3rd party data collection.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. We do not share your data with any 3rd party besides those required for analytics (that data is anonymized) or for payment processing. We never have access to your payment methods.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, or unless you delete the comment. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. You are able to delete your content and your account at any time.
